Arriving at Changi

Keep the QR code and installation instructions where you can reach them before you leave reliable internet access. A data-only eSIM can give you access to maps and messages once it connects, but it does not come with a Singapore phone number. If a booking asks for SMS verification, arrange that separately.

Continuing to Malaysia

The live catalogue has Singapore-only and Singapore & Malaysia packages. Compare the destination list, data allowance and expiry with your route. A Singapore-only package does not cover Malaysia just because you can keep using the same phone after crossing the border.
