The short answer for NumberHub plans
For NumberHub plans, no. Our travel eSIM packages are data-only. They give a compatible phone internet access under the plan terms, but they do not come with a phone number for calls or SMS. A verification code sent by text cannot arrive on that travel eSIM.
You can still use apps that work over the internet. If an account insists on texting a code to a phone number, you need a separate line that can receive it.
Keep your usual number for important codes
On a supported dual-SIM phone, you may be able to use the travel eSIM for data and leave your usual SIM or eSIM active for texts. The usual line must still be able to receive SMS where you are travelling. Check that with your carrier, along with any roaming charges, before departure.
In your phone settings, check which line handles mobile data and which line handles messages. Do a test while both lines are on. Turning off your usual line, or losing its roaming service, will not move its incoming texts onto the data-only eSIM.
When a different number is needed
A separate virtual number can sometimes receive a one-time sign-up text if the service accepts that number type and country. It is a separate product, not a feature of the travel eSIM, and acceptance is never guaranteed.
Do not use a temporary number as the recovery number for an account you plan to keep. Once an activation ends, you no longer control that number. Keep important accounts tied to a number you can retain, or use another recovery method the account provider supports.
